Daytona Beach, FL – February 4, 2019 Cooper&Hunter, a global provider of mini-split systems, has started the new year with the goal of helping to move the HVAC industry forward. In collaboration with Tropic Supply, Cooper&Hunter has gifted Daytona State College with 6 complete HVAC systems, considering the donation as a useful investment in the next generation. The on-campus working stations, which include units from Cooper&Hunter’s modern “Sophia Mini-Split Single Zone Series”, will give students hands-on learning opportunities with technology that is becoming increasingly popular in the US.
As US consumers are becoming more eco-conscious, the mini-split market is growing. In comparison to more traditional central HVAC systems, these ductless units are easy to install, affordable, and energy efficient. Saving money and energy simultaneously is an advantage that American consumers cannot ignore, so future HVAC professionals will need to be prepared.
Daytona State College has already expressed great appreciation. Robbie Phillips, HVAC instructor at the School of Workforce Careers and Advanced Technology College, said, “We do appreciate the hard work that you and your service technician put in today. You have left us with very professional looking mini split systems that will assist us with training for years to come. Looking forward to working with you in the future.”
Cooper&Hunter CEO, Marat Terchiyev, also expressed his thoughts on the collaboration: “At Cooper&Hunter, we feel that supporting development in the HVAC industry is not only our duty, but also our pleasure. Making donations to educational programs is beneficial for everyone involved. Both instructors and students get hands-on access to modern tools, ensuring that HVAC newcomers enter the workforce with practical knowledge, confidence, and experience.”
Heather Anusbigian, Marketing Director of Tropic Supply said: “Tropic Supply has a long history of supporting the contractor community. It is our honor and privilege to offer training and support to the future of our industry. We sincerely appreciate our partnership with Cooper and Hunter which made this donation possible.”
